Fortnite Bot Lobbies in Ch7S4 Override: Complete Guide

What Are Bot Lobbies?

Bot lobbies are Fortnite matches that contain mostly or entirely AI-controlled bots instead of real players. In Chapter 7 Season 4 Override, bot lobbies have become a hot topic as Polygon reported the new season kicking off with bot-infested lobbies, making it easier for new and returning players to enjoy the season.

Bot lobbies have existed in Fortnite for years, but the Override season has adjusted the matchmaking algorithm to include more bots in early matches, especially for players who are new to the season or returning after a break.

Why Override Has Bot Lobbies

The Override season introduced new mechanics like hacking, Sprites, and temple vaults that can be overwhelming for new players. Epic Games has responded by increasing bot presence in the first few matches to let players learn the new features before facing real opponents. This is a deliberate design choice, not a bug.

How to Get Into Bot Lobbies

The most reliable way to get bot lobbies is to use a fresh or low-skill account. Matchmaking considers your recent performance, so playing poorly for several games will also increase bot presence. Playing with a new account in a party is the fastest method.

Benefits of Bot Lobbies

Bot lobbies are great for completing quests, farming XP, practicing new mechanics, and testing loadouts without the pressure of real players. Many players use bot lobbies to complete their Battle Pass faster.

Risks & Drawbacks

The main drawback is that bot lobbies don't improve your real skills. Over-reliance on bot lobbies can lead to poor performance in real matches. Additionally, Epic may adjust the matchmaking algorithm, reducing bot availability over time.
