Crash Bandicoot & Spyro the Dragon Fortnite Collab: Release & Bundle

The Announcement

Epic Games has officially announced the Fortnite Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon collab, releasing this week as an Item Shop drop. The announcement came alongside a new trailer showing Crash performing his iconic Crash Dance, which will be included as a purchasable emote in his bundle. This is the second Gaming Legends item shop collaboration to launch during Chapter 7 Season 4 Override.

Crash Bandicoot Bundle

Crash Bandicoot arrives with a full bundle: the Crash Bandicoot Outfit, an Aku Aku Back Bling, a Pickaxe topped with an apple (a staple of the Crash games), and the iconic Crash Dance Emote. The bundle will also include a retro PS1 edit style, bringing Crash's original 1996 PlayStation look to Fortnite Override.

Spyro the Dragon Sidekick

Spyro the Dragon enters Fortnite as a Sidekick, sporting his design from Spyro: A Realm Beyond — the upcoming title announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026. While Spyro doesn't get the retro treatment, he comes with three edit styles, including variants that turn his yellow crystals and parts of his body pink, lime, and blue.

PS1 Retro Edit Style

The highlight of the Crash bundle is the retro PS1 edit style, which transforms Crash into his original 1996 low-poly, blocky PlayStation counterpart. The style is a direct nod to the original Crash Bandicoot games and will make the bundle especially appealing to longtime fans of the franchise playing Fortnite.

Release Date & Pricing

Epic has not confirmed an exact release date, but the collab is expected to arrive in the Fortnite Item Shop by the end of the week. Pricing is expected to follow standard Gaming Legends bundle pricing — around 2,200-2,800 V-Bucks for the full bundle. Unlike Battle Pass items, Item Shop collabs are only available for a limited window, so players should act fast once they drop.

Gaming Legends in Override

The Crash and Spyro collab is the latest in a long line of Gaming Legends crossovers in Fortnite's Override season. Previous confirmed collabs include Sonic the Hedgehog, Crash Bandicoot (leak era), Persona 5, Kingdom Hearts, Spyro the Dragon, Mega Man, Pac-Man, and the rumored FNAF crossover. The Override season's celebration of video game history makes it the perfect home for these iconic characters.

• the PS1 retro edit style is exclusive to the bundle — don't expect it to appear separately.
• Item Shop Gaming Legends bundles typically rotate out after 3-5 days — grab it while you can.
