Dr. Eggman Fortnite Skin: Price, Bundle, and Why You Should Grab Him

Leaving the Shop Today

Dr. Eggman is leaving the Fortnite Item Shop on Saturday, August 29, 2026. If you have been waiting for the Doctor to join your locker, today is the last day to buy him before he rotates out. The shop refreshes at 6 PM ET (00:00 UTC), and once Eggman's timer hits zero he will be gone until Epic decides to bring the Sonic villain back. Outfit rotations in the Item Shop are unpredictable — Sonic and Shadow have returned several times, but Eggman's own cycle is much rarer. Missing today's window could mean waiting months for another chance.

Price and Bundle Contents

The Dr. Eggman Outfit costs 1,500 V-Bucks when bought on its own. If you want the complete Doctor setup, the Dr. Eggman Bundle is 2,000 V-Bucks and bundles the outfit with the Egg Mobile Glider and the Egg Hammer Pickaxe, saving you hundreds of V-Bucks versus buying the pieces separately. The outfit itself is a Gaming Legends Series skin with a design that nails Eggman's classic red and black outfit, goggles, and gloves — the in-game description reads "Goggles, gloves, and gusto." He is part of the Sonic the Hedgehog collection, which has become one of Fortnite's most popular collab lines this season.

Every Eggman Item

Today's shop includes the full Dr. Eggman item set alongside the outfit and bundle. The Egg Mobile Glider (500 V-Bucks) lets you descend in the Doctor's iconic egg-shaped hovercraft, complete with its signature engine hum. The Egg Hammer Pickaxe (800 V-Bucks) is a satisfying oversized hammer that swings with Eggman-style flair. The Orbot and Cubot Back Bling (300 V-Bucks) adds the Doctor's two faithful robot assistants to your back. There is also an Eggman's E-TAR Contrails option for players who want the full themed loadout. Buying the bundle (2,000 V-Bucks) is cheaper than purchasing the outfit, glider, and pickaxe separately, which would total 2,800 V-Bucks.

Is It Worth Buying?

For Sonic fans, Dr. Eggman is a must-have. He is the main antagonist of the Sonic series and completes the trio alongside Sonic and Shadow in Fortnite's roster. His silhouette is instantly recognizable, and he stands out in a lobby full of original skins. The bundle at 2,000 V-Bucks offers strong value for collectors, since the glider and pickaxe are themed to match. If you only play occasionally, the solo outfit at 1,500 V-Bucks is the budget pick, but you will miss out on the matching gear. The community reception has been positive — Eggman holds strong wishlist numbers on Fortnite.GG, and players who grabbed him early are still flexing him in matches.

Best Value Option

The Dr. Eggman Bundle (2,000 V-Bucks) is the best value for anyone who wants the full set. It saves you 800 V-Bucks compared to buying the outfit, glider, and pickaxe separately. If your V-Bucks budget is tight, prioritize the outfit alone — the skin is the centerpiece, and the accessories can be skipped without hurting your loadout. Remember that you can also earn free V-Bucks through the Override Battle Pass, which currently gives back up to 800 V-Bucks and includes the Sonic instant-unlock. That means an active Battle Pass can partially fund your Eggman purchase while you progress through the season.

If You Miss It

If Dr. Eggman rotates out before you can buy him, do not panic — he is a Shop item, not an exclusive, which means he will return. Epic rotates Gaming Legends skins back into the shop regularly, especially around new Sonic or Sega collaborations. To make sure you never miss his return, enable Shop notifications in Fortnite or check the Item Shop daily at the 6 PM ET refresh. In the meantime, you can still grab the other Sonic characters that are in today's shop — including Knuckles the Echidna at 1,500 V-Bucks and Shadow the Hedgehog at 1,800 V-Bucks — to keep building your Sega collection while you wait.

• Dr. Eggman leaves the shop on August 29 — buy before the 6 PM ET refresh.
• the 2,000 V-Bucks bundle saves 800 versus buying items separately.
