Fortnite Gaming Legends: 7 Iconic Video-Game Skins Still Missing

The Override Gaming Legends Wave

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Override is the most video-game-obsessed season in the game's history. Sonic the Hedgehog headlines the Battle Pass, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro hit the Item Shop this week, and Mega Man, Pac-Man, and a Persona 5 Joker set have all landed. Yet for every icon that arrives, fans point to another character from the gaming pantheon who still has no Fortnite skin. Here are the Gaming Legends the community keeps demanding — and why each one is overdue.

Doom Slayer

The Doom Slayer is arguably the most requested Gaming Legends skin of the last five years. Rumors have swirled for months — a misty figure spotted in the Override launch trailer was quickly linked to the classic green armor — and Bethesda's id Software has never been shy about crossovers. Between the Super Shotgun, the BFG, and a chainsaw pickaxe, the kit builds itself. Every season without him, the petition grows louder.

Samus Aran

With Nintendo TEASING a future Fortnite collaboration through its BORN2PLAY code, Metroid's Samus Aran is the single most-wanted Nintendo character still absent. The Power Suit's iconic silhouette would translate into one of Fortnite's best Power Skin designs, with a Morph Ball glider and Wave Beam effects writing themselves. If the Nintendo collab is real, Samus tops every fan wishlist.

Rayman

Ubisoft's limbless hero has a devoted fanbase that has been asking Epic for years. Rayman's simple art style fits Fortnite's visuals perfectly, and his floaty platforming personality suits the game's emotes. With Ubisoft seemingly open to collabs in the 2020s, Rayman remains one of the most glaring omissions from the Gaming Legends lineup.

Pyramid Head

Silent Hill's iconic Pyramid Head would be one of the boldest additions Fortnite has ever made. Konami has warmed to crossover content in recent years, and Fortnite has been pushing its T-rating boundaries all season. The character's unmistakable design — along with a Great Knife pickaxe — would instantly become one of the most talked-about drops in the shop's history.

Honorable Mentions

Rounding out the wishlist: Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII keeps being requested by JRPG fans, NieR's 2B would bring a massive cosplay crowd to the island, and a dark-horse pick like Balatro's Joker or Waluigi would break the internet overnight. None of these are confirmed — they are the community's most-wanted list, and for a season built on celebrating gaming, the door is wide open for surprises. When a drop like Crash's finally comes, the shop window is short — 3 to 5 days — so keep your V-Bucks ready and your Battle Pass complete.

• watch for trailer teases — every confirmed Override collab started as a blurry background figure.
• these are wishlist candidates, not leaks — only Item Shop or Battle Pass announcements are confirmed.
