Fortnite Lil Wayne Collab Teased by the Rap Icon
Lil Wayne Drops a Fortnite Tease
Lil Wayne has started a Fortnite collab tease that has the community buzzing. On September 8, 2026 the rap legend posted a Fortnite-themed teaser on his Instagram account with the phrase Where we dropping?, a direct reference to the Battle Bus question every player knows before a match begins. Esports.gg reported the tease the same day, quickly followed by more outlets covering the potential crossover.
What the Teaser Shows
The teaser is short but loaded with Fortnite flavor. The caption and imagery point straight at the Battle Bus and the classic drop question, with clear Fortnite branding surrounding the post. Fortnite iconography, the Where we dropping? line and a music twist all point to a proper in-game collab rather than a one-off brand post, which is why the clip has been shared across Fortnite content pages since it appeared.
Leakers Confirm a Music Collab
Top Fortnite leakers have backed up the tease. HYPEX shared a post reading Lil Wayne x Fortnite - Coming Soon, noting that both Lil Wayne and Ken Carson have been teased for this season. Leakers also point out that one of the two is currently hidden as the music spot for this update. If the collab goes live, it would add another Grammy-winning rap icon to the Festival lineup alongside artists like Travis Scott, Ice Spice and Metro Boomin.
Wayne or Ken Carson?
The big question is who actually lands first. According to leakers, both Lil Wayne and Ken Carson have been teased for Chapter 7 Season 4, and only one of them is currently hidden in this update's music spot. Lil Wayne's own Instagram tease makes him the stronger bet, but nothing is confirmed. Epic frequently staggers music collabs, so a release for one does not rule out the other later in the season.
Lil Wayne's Fortnite History
Lil Wayne has been connected to Fortnite for years even without a full collab. His music has appeared in the game through Jam Tracks and Festival content, and he has referenced Fortnite in pop culture moments. A full outfit and cosmetic set would mark his biggest Fortnite moment yet, putting the Grammy winner behind songs like Lollipop and Fireman into the Character and Festival rotations alongside other superstar rappers.
Release Window and What to Expect
Epic has not announced an official date, but the timing points to a release in the coming weeks of Chapter 7 Season 4. Music collabs typically arrive with an outfit, a bundle at around 1,500 to 2,500 V-Bucks, Festival Jam Tracks and often an emote. Watch Epic's official channels and the Fortnite Festival lineup for confirmation, and we will update this guide when the collab goes live.
