PS Plus Fortnite Freebies in Override: Free Rewards for Members

What Is the PS Plus Fortnite Freebie?

PlayStation Plus members are getting a bonus Fortnite freebie during the Ch7S4 Override season. Announced by GAMINGbible on August 23, 2026, the freebie gives PS Plus subscribers exclusive in-game items — including a free skin and bonus V-Bucks — as Override season kicks into high gear.

This is not the first time PS Plus has offered Fortnite bonuses, but the timing with Override's huge launch makes this one of the most valuable freebies yet for PlayStation players.

How to Claim

To claim your PS Plus Fortnite freebie: 1) Make sure you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription. 2) Open Fortnite on your PS4 or PS5. 3) Navigate to the Item Shop or the PS Plus tab in the game's main menu. 4) Find the free bundle and select "Download" or "Claim." The items are automatically added to your locker.

Free Rewards & Items

The PS Plus freebie bundle includes a free skin variant, a matching back bling, and a V-Bucks bonus — typically 500-600 V-Bucks as a loyalty bonus for subscribers. The exact cosmetic changes each month, but the August 2026 bundle is tied to the Override launch theme.

Duration & Availability

The PS Plus Fortnite freebie is available for the duration of August 2026, aligned with the monthly PS Plus refresh. You must claim it before the end of the month, after which it is replaced by the September bundle. Once claimed, items stay in your locker permanently.

Is PS Plus Worth It for Fortnite?

If you play Fortnite on PlayStation, the PS Plus freebie alone can offset the subscription cost over time. Between the free skin, V-Bucks, and the monthly game drops, PS Plus becomes a strong value proposition for dedicated Fortnite players on console.
