What Is Droid Tycoon?

Star Wars: Droid Tycoon is a Fortnite mode built around collecting and operating iconic Star Wars droids — and it just got a big new mechanic. Droid Fusion went live as part of a special event on August 23, and unlike a typical limited-time feature, Epic confirmed it is here to stay.

Droid Fusion Explained

Droid Fusion unlocks at Rebirth 3. Once available, you select three droids and fuse them into a single improved droid — including 17 fusion-exclusive droids that never appear on the Sandcrawler conveyor or in rewards.

Fusion Rules

The rule is simple: mixing three droids of the same rarity and quality crafts a higher-tier droid, and using three of the same droid upgrades that exact droid. The result takes the lowest quality of the three — two Rainbow droids and a Diamond droid will produce a Diamond.

Rare & Epic Recipes

Rare tier: WHL-EX (Worker) needs 2x Mouse + 1x ARG, ZRO-TEC (Astromech) needs 2x ID10 + 1x 2BB, and BTL-R (Battle) needs 1x B1 Battle + 1x R9 + 1x BDX Explorer. Epic tier adds N-UL (1x B1 Heavy, 1x Gunrunner, 1x BB), SCRP-R (1x Gonk, 1x Groundmech, 1x R6), ARM-CORE (2x ARG, 1x B2 Heavy) and OPT-AR (2x R2, 1x B2 Super).

Legendary & Mythic Recipes

Legendary: RO-TOR (1x BB9, 1x Pit, 1x B1 Battle), FUS-3 (1x R7, 2x B-U4D), ORB-XL (1x CB, 1x Gunrunner, 1x B2-RP) and QIK-BIT (2x Groundmech, 1x BB9). Mythic: RIV-3T (1x KX, 1x IG, 1x RIC), LUG-G (1x Loadlifter, 1x ID10, 1x R5), X-ONK (2x KX, 1x Gonk), SRV-0 (1x Ric-1200, 2x B1 Heavy), AXL-POD (1x Ric, 1x BDX Explorer, 1x R7) and LOW-MO (2x A-LT, 1x Loadlifter).

Tips & Strategy

Fusion is the fastest way to upgrade your droid lineup — no more scrounging around the Sandcrawler when a rare droid finally spawns. Collect duplicates on purpose, hold your rarest fodder, and fuse your way to the full 17-droid collection before the season moves on.
