Fortnite Birthday Cake Locations: Where to Find All 4 Slices
Overview: The Birthday Cake Quest
The Birthday Cake quest is one of the 9 quests in Fortnite's 9th Birthday Event, requiring players to eat 4 slices of birthday cake found at Named Locations. Unlike most birthday event quests that are available in multiple modes, the cake quest is exclusive to Fortnite OG mode. The cake slices are placed at specific Named Locations on the map, making this a straightforward quest for players who know where to look. With only 4 slices needed and just 2 locations to visit, this quest can be completed in a single match with proper planning.
Junk Junction: Center Cake Locations
One of the two main birthday cake locations is at the center of Junk Junction. When you land in this area in OG mode, look for the birthday cake slices scattered around the central area. The cake slices are interactive items that you can eat by approaching them and using the interact prompt. Junk Junction is a popular landing spot due to its central location and nearby resources, so expect competition from other players completing the same quest. Arriving early and grabbing the cake slices before other players is key to completing this part of the quest efficiently.
Pleasant Park: Center Cake Locations
The second birthday cake location is at the center of Pleasant Park, another central Named Location on the map. Like Junk Junction, the cake slices here are placed in the central area and are accessible upon landing. Pleasant Park offers slightly more cover than Junk Junction, making it easier to secure the cake slices without getting eliminated. The two locations are close enough together that you can potentially visit both in a single match by landing in one and quickly running to the other if you don't collect all slices at the first location.
OG Mode Only: Why It Matters
The Birthday Cake quest is exclusive to Fortnite OG mode, which is a critical detail for players trying to complete the quest. OG mode features a smaller, more compact map with different gameplay mechanics compared to Battle Royale or Zero Build. Players who queue into the wrong mode will not see the birthday cake items on the map. Make sure to select the correct game type when queuing — Fortnite OG — to find the cake slices. The OG mode's compact map also makes it easier to move between Junk Junction and Pleasant Park if you need to visit both locations.
Tips to Complete the Quest in One Match
To complete the Birthday Cake quest efficiently in a single match, follow these strategies: Choose Junk Junction or Pleasant Park as your landing zone when the Battle Bus arrives. Upon landing, immediately search for cake slices in the central area. If you collect all 4 slices at your first location, the quest is complete — exit the match. If you only find some slices, quickly move toward the second location to grab the remaining ones. Since OG mode has a smaller map, both locations are relatively close together.
